Refund & Cancellation Policy

We keep things straightforward. Here's exactly what happens if plans change.

Deposit & Payment

When you book a trip package with SingaCup Travels, a 30% deposit is required to secure your spot. This deposit is collected via Stripe at the time of booking.

The remaining 70% balance is due no later than 30 days before your departure date. We'll send you a reminder via WhatsApp or email when the balance is coming due.

If the balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and the deposit may be forfeited.

Cancellation by You

We understand plans change. Refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel relative to the departure date:

60+ days before departure

Full deposit refund, minus any payment processing fees (typically 3-4%). We want you to rebook when the timing is right.

30 – 59 days before departure

50% of your deposit is refunded. By this point we've likely committed funds toward tickets and accommodation on your behalf.

14 – 29 days before departure

No deposit refund. However, you may transfer your booking to another traveller at no extra charge — just let us know the new traveller's details.

Less than 14 days before departure

No refund and no transfer. At this stage, all arrangements are fully committed and costs have been incurred.

If you've already paid the full balance, the same tiers apply to the total amount paid.

Cancellation by SingaCup Travels

If we cancel a trip for any reason — the match is called off, we can't secure enough tickets, or circumstances beyond our control make the trip unviable — you'll receive a full refund of everything you've paid, including the deposit.

We'll also do our best to offer you an alternative trip or a credit toward a future booking if you'd prefer that over a refund.

Modifications to Your Booking

Need to change a name, swap a traveller, or adjust dates? We'll do our best to accommodate, subject to availability.

  • Name changes are usually free if requested more than 14 days before departure, depending on the ticket and hotel policies involved.
  • Date changes are treated as a cancellation and rebooking. The cancellation tiers above apply to the original booking.
  • Minor modifications (room preferences, dietary requirements, etc.) can usually be handled at no extra cost — just message us.

If a modification results in a price difference, we'll let you know before confirming so there are no surprises.

Force Majeure

Sometimes things happen that nobody can control: a match is cancelled by the football association, a natural disaster hits, travel bans are imposed, or a pandemic shuts down borders.

In force majeure situations where the trip genuinely cannot proceed, we'll offer you the choice of:

  • A full refund of all amounts paid
  • A credit toward a future SingaCup Travels trip (valid for 12 months)
  • Rebooking to an alternative trip at the same or similar price

We define force majeure as events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: match cancellations or relocations by the league or federation, natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, civil unrest, and pandemics.

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Get in touch with us as early as possible. The sooner you reach out, the more options we'll have.

Please include your booking reference, the trip name, and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
